Iğdır has high potential for the investments of energy (biogas, wind) and hydroelectric plants. Biogas which has a potential because of the husbandry and fruit and vegetable growing can be used in electric generation, especially in greenhouse heating. Serdarbulak Tableland located between Major and Minor Ağrı Mountains has an important potential in wing energy thanks to the constant winds. Also Kars-Iğdır-Nakchevan natural gas pipeline is planned to pass through Iğdır. Therefore, brining Azerbaijan gas to Nakchevan directly will be able to be enabled.
